Winter time in New Jersey is a great time to completely forget about surfing and focus on other aspects of life. The ocean can go completely FLAT for months and the water temp. can dip into the 30's. Its a time to work and enjoy the holidays with family and friends. Maybe take a snowboard trip to achieve a minor sensation of what surfing really is. Meanwhile, the tropical locations are pumping with swell while we are stuck here only to dream and fantasize about all the warm water tubes that are going by unridden. Being a TRUE NJ surfer means to take advantage of every gift Mother Nature provides for us. When the waves finally come, (and they do) we take advantage and take nothing for granted. If its 10 degrees below and pumping, were on it! Until then, we wait and enjoy life! Cheers to 2011! Happy New Year!
